Reinvigorating downtown Wyandanch, the Wyandanch Transit Plaza provides the diverse and historically underserved population with a newly created town center and transit plaza as part of the Wyandanch Rising initiative.

Surrounded by mixed-use development, the Transit Plaza connects the town to the newly rebuilt Long Island Rail train station. Inspired by the shore typologies of Long Island— marshes, bluffs, and sand—the plaza’s serene lawn and gardens, outdoor concert space, choreographed fountain, seasonal ice skating rink and fire pit will attract residents and visitors year-round.
