After a fire destroyed an 1800's barn that was home to Stone's Throw Winery, WSA developed a concept that paidhomage to the history of the original structure while embracing the future of this wine-making business. While the building was designed as a kit of parts and constructed in seven days, the simplicity of the construction is hidden beneath a striking architectural presence. The existing foundation was maintained and served as a strong base for a new form. The roof tilts and angles to mirror the movement of a foot crushing grapes, while the glazing highlights the view over the vineyard.
